For the longest time, I have been quietly collecting stories from my decade of traveling. I kept telling myself, I had to document every experience I had, every laugh I shared, every kind person I encountered through my travels.
I had to share my story of backpacking through Asia, and sleeping on moldy $2.5 per night beds, of feeling the vastness of the Great Wall of China. I will immortalize the moment when I turned the corner and saw the wonder of Macchu Picchu, and the pure adreneline that kept me climbing for 7 days straight to get to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. I will tell my stories, while I continue my journey to the corners of the earth.
I have been inspired to finally do so. While at the airport, waiting for a flight to Hawaii, I bumped into my mentor and his wife. She told me about her goal to visit 50 countries by the time she was 50, and I just loved it. I am a firm believer that one learns the most about the world, and themselves, by seeing and interacting with different cultures, by opening up to new ideas and a way of life that is different from what we're used to. So I decided to set out to achieve my own goal of visiting 50 countries by the time I'm 50.
